Our story

Established in 2017, R2 Workshops was founded to meet a critical market need: reliable, innovative, and value-adding support for our customers. We understand that for your fleet, uptime is everything. Our commitment is to maximize that uptime, reduce your overall costs, and provide high-quality parts and services. This mission is the foundation of everything we do.

 

We have made significant internal investments in certified commercial workshops, fully equipped with state-of-the-art repair bays, body repair shops, class-leading technology, specialized tooling, and highly skilled technicians.

Our history

In 2017, Marvin Sissing joined R2 Workshops with a clear mission: to deliver reliable, innovative, and value-adding support and solutions for Commercial Vehicle Fleet owners. Recognizing a gap in the market for high-quality services tailored to the transport sector, Marvin leveraged his extensive expertise to create a brand that stands for excellence and trust.

With over 20 years of experience in the commercial vehicle industry, Marvin is deeply versed in the complexities of transport operations. His background spans transport-related sales and operations, and he has been actively involved in commercial vehicle sales, operations and services, giving him a unique perspective on the needs of fleet owners.

Jaco Bekker

Jaco Bekker brings decades of expertise in the commercial vehicle industry, backed by hands-on technical knowledge and strategic leadership. Qualified as a mechanic in 1992, Jaco began his career with an apprenticeship at Germiston City Council before moving into management roles at Pro Tours, where he pioneered Cape Town’s first bus servicing workshop.
Today, as a Director at R2 Workshops since 2020, Jaco leverages his extensive experience working with global brands to oversee operations and drive innovation in fleet maintenance and refurbishment.

Jaco is a qualified diesel mechanic with over 10 years of hands-on experience in the commercial truck industry. He has worked with globally recognised brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Scania, Volvo, UD and Iveco, to name a few.

His deep technical knowledge and leadership skills make him a valuable asset to our operations, and having been with us before, Jaco is well equipped to contribute significantly to the growth and success of R2 Workshops.
